Gabe Ihrig continued on what's been a dominant season for the senior out of Puyallup with two strong appearances this week. 

He came in during the Eagles' one non-conference game against Morningside on Tuesday and threw one scoreless inning in relief. He struck out the side in his inning against a Mustangs lineup that scored six runs in the game and is one of the top run-producing teams in the NAIA.

Then his number was called on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the week. The Eagles were playing their fourth conference game in three days and needed a strong start from Ihrig in game three against Arizona Christian in order to win the series 2-1.

They got that strong start out of him as the senior threw six innings in the seven inning game before handing the ball off to Jake Battaglia. In his six innings of work he allowed just one run and struck out six to earn his third win of the season.

He's now 3-1 with a 0.77 earned run average this year. He's allowed just two earned runs this season in over 23 innings pitched and batters are hitting just .193 against him, which is easily tops among the Biola starting pitchers.
