Samantha Verduzco earns Athlete of the Week for the second time as an Eagle after scoring three goals and collecting two assists this week.

Women’s soccer scored eight goals and went 2-0 in their first two matches of the year thanks in large part to Verduzco, whose finishing ability caused fits for opposing defenses. Verduzco scored the first goal of both matches for the Eagles and her eight points leads all Golden State Athletic Conference scorers.

Verduzco and the Eagles play two more home matches this week, Monday at 4:00 p.m. and Friday at 4:30 p.m. Women’s Soccer is 22-6-3 in the programs last 31 matches at Al Barbour Field.
