Biola University Athletics

Ally Forsberg is Biola's first Athlete of the Week for the 2016-17 competitive season. The Eagles' junior middle blocker had herself a whale of a week at the Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Biola was 1-2 on the weekend, but the one win was a very big one as Forsberg and her teammates took down No. 1 Columbia College in five sets. Forsberg was stellar in that match as she and her fellow middle blocker, Sierra Bauder, combined for 30 kills and both hit around the .500 mark.

For the week Forsberg hit .365 with 24 kills in 13 sets played. Her hitting percentage was the best among all Biola attackers. She was also a force to be reckoned with at the net as she was in on a team-high 13 blocks. 

Biola Volleyball is now 5-4 on the season. They have a scrimmage with Azusa Pacific at home on Tuesday night and then compete at Hope International's Labor Day Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
