Micah Beyer was the last Biola starting pitcher to pitch in a ballgame that Biola Baseball would go on to win during an adventurous 2016 season.

He went 7.1 innings against The Master's College on Tuesday during the second day of the 2016 Golden State Athletic Conference baseball tournament. His start came against the same The Master's College team that would eventually go on to win the tournament and secure the conference's automatic bid.

There was nothing the Mustangs could do against Beyer in this game though as he allowed just three hits and a single earned run while striking out nine in a dominant performance that would ultimately lead to Biola's third win over the first two days of the tournament.

Unfortunately, as the tournament progressed the scores of each game grew higher and higher and the Eagles could not pull out the tournament championship with a win in their second or third game against TMC.

Beyer's outing will go down as one of the top-5 starting pitching performances of the season as he brought his second year at BU to a close with a 4-4 record in 13 starts. He logged 68.2 innings on the bump in 2016 and racked up 64 strikeouts as he continued to hone his craft.
