IRVINE, Calif. --- The Bob Hogue Commissioner's Cup standings are finalized through the completion of the 2024-25 school year. Biola's 14 teams within the framework of the PacWest managed to rank third place.
Scoring is determined by each team's finish in the regular season or postseason tournament. Biola totaled 143 points through 14 teams to average 10.21 points per sport.
Point Loma ran away with the crown with an average of 12.36 points per sport. Azusa Pacific snuck ahead of the Eagles for second place at 10.58.
The spring schedule saw a bump up in Biola's average with a pair of regular season champions. The seven teams averaged 10.71 to close out the year strong.
Softball notched a huge 15 points with a regular season championship for Biola. The team would eventually make regionals, after going 39-21 overall and 29-7 in conference play.
Women's Golf matched softball, earning a PacWest Title by tackling the postseason conference tournament. The team grabbed a spot at regionals and got better each round for a ninth place finish.
Women's Tennis made a splash at the conference championships, upsetting the top-seeded Cougars to move into the championship match. The team took second place at the tournament and made an appearance at regionals, as well. Men's tennis finished in eighth place in the PacWest tourney for four points.
Up in Fresno, track and field fought for a pair of top five placements. The women's squad nabbed fourth place for 11 points in the commissioner's cup, while the men's team landed in fifth place for eight points.
Baseball made its first postseason appearance, reaching the PacWest Championships with a 23-21 PacWest record. The team ranked sixth in the standings, pulling in nine points for BU.
Biola stepped up from its previous two placements in the Bob Hogue Commissioner's Cup. In 2024 and 2023, the Eagles took fourth place in the standings, moving up to third place in 2025.
