CSC Academic All-District Swim and Dive

Eagles Boast Academic Excellence

Biola Swimming and Diving reached the maximum of CSC Academic All-District nods with eight recognitions.

LA MIRADA --- The crossroads of academics and athletics came together with the announcement of the College Sports Communicators Swimming and Diving Academic All-District award-winners. The Eagles pulled in eight honors, four for the women's squad and four for the men's squad.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Both teams reached the highest possible number of award-winners with four being the maximum for each team. All student-athletes recognized earned cumulative grade-point averages above a 3.50 and competed in at least five meets this year.

Lorelai Carney was a two-time selection, earning the distinction as a senior with a 3.52 GPA, majoring in liberal studies. Allison Yancey was recognized as a sophomore kinesiology major with a 3.95 GPA. Colette Friedley made the cut as a junior, while majoring in nursing with a 3.71 GPA. Morgan Kampfer came in with a 3.55 GPA, while majoring in business administration as a senior.

On the men's side, Alejandro Marchesini neared a perfect GPA at 3.97, while majoring in computer science. Tate Fitzgerald was a first time selection as a sophomore, boasting a 3.94 GPA with a major in biological science. Caleb Pook also majored in biological science with a 3.82 GPA. Noah Hall was also recognized with a 3.54 GPA, while majoring in cinema and media arts.
