February 26, 2025

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The postseason is here and Biola has made program history with the announcement of the 2025 NCAA DII Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championship qualifiers. The men's Biola squad will be sending swimmers to the big dance for the first time in program history  in Josh Peace and Samuel Slezak, while the women's squad will have Lorelai Carney compete in the Diving Qualification Meet.

The long distance events brought success for the Eagles, as Peace and Slezak reached the qualification mark for the 1650 freestyle event. The duo's entry times come in right at and below 15:30.00. The 1650 event is set for the final day of races on March 15.

Junior transfer Slezak added a second event to his nationals schedule, being selected for the 1000 freestyle. Slezak won the conference crown for both the 1650 and 1000 free events, offering a time of 9:11.55 in the 1000 with an eight second lead over second place.

Carney is returning to familiar territory, making her second-straight appearance at the nationals stage. The senior made the NCAA DII Diving Qualification in 2024 and earned her way back this year with stellar marks throughout. The season culminated in two conference crowns, as Carney was the PCSC Champion on both the 1M and 3M boards.

Caleb Pook also reached the qualification mark for diving but an injury will prevent him from participating at nationals.

The 2025 NCAA DII Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships are set to begin on March 11 and last through March 15 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Diving Qualification Meet will kick off the event on March 11, followed by the 1000 free on Wednesday, March 12 and finally the 1650 free on Saturday, March 15.
