LOS ANGELES --- The Eagles sent athletes to Occidental and Cal State Fullerton, as the season nears a close. A total of five competitors wore the black and red over the weekend for a pair of top-five finishes.

Hanna Bevan and Jada Pierce kicked things off for BU at the Titan Tune-Up on Friday. CSU Fullerton played host, as the Eagles sent two premier field event athletes.

Bevan came in with a high jump of 1.60m, which tied for fourth in the event. Pierce followed up with her own fourth place showing, notching a 48.29m mark in the hammer throw.

On Saturday, three distance runners headed over to the Occidental Invitational for evening events. Grace Catena shined for Biola in the 5000, grabbing 16th place. The senior beat out her previous best time by seven seconds to cross the finish line at 17:34.89.

Aidan Arredondo and Aidan Tomasini both hit the track for the 1500 run. Arredondo nabbed a sub-four minute time to finish in 27th place. The sophomore logged a time of 3:59.42 and was followed by Tomasini at 4:04.10 in 35th.

Biola will be back in action next weekend at the APU Last Chance on Friday and Saturday.
