LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After nine years and over 230 coaching victories, Biola Sotball Head Coach Lorie Coleman has stepped down from her position to pursue other ministry opportunities.
Coleman led the Biola Softball program from 2010 - 2018 and compiled an overall record of 234-213-3 while leading the team to three 30-win seasons and two national tournament berths. She led the program through the beginnings of the NCAA Division II transition, including the 2018 season - Biola's first as participating members in the PacWest Conference.
"We are grateful for coach Coleman and the years she invested into the student-athletes at Biola. She is a gifted coach, relationally, and she continued a strong tradition of excellence within our softball program," said Director of Athletics
Dr. Bethany Miller. "We are excited to see who we find to fill the role and keep the program progressing forward, while maintaining a high level of care for our student-athletes."
Coleman's departure leaves Biola with an immediate need for a new head coach. A 40 hour-per-week, 12-month position is now available via the Biola Human Resources website. View the application and job description at this

Applications are currently being processed and the position is set to begin as July 1.
Biola is a provisional member of the NCAA Division II and its softball program competes in the Pacific West Conference. The Eagles finished seventh in their first season in the PacWest with a 16-16 conference record. View more about the program at the
