BIOLA (5-6-1, 3-2 PacWest) vs. Hawaii Hilo (3-7, 2-3 PacWest): Tuesday Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. (PT) \\ Live Stats
This match is critical for Biola to leave Hawaii with an adequate amount of points and to rebound from the Eagles' loss to Chaminade. The Vulcans have had two big wins on the year, a 1-0 win over a ranked team in Western Washington on Sept. 11 and a 2-1 clipping of Concordia last Thursday after Matt Wilkinson scored two second-half goals to erase a 1-0 deficit. Wilkinson's seven goals on the year account for 70 percent of UH Hilo's scoring this season and he's scored all four of UHH's most recent goals since Sept. 25. The Vulcans' defense had a rough patch during the early part of the season where it surrendered four goals or more in five-straight matches but UH Hilo has corrected that in its last four contests by preventing all four of those opponents from scoring more than once.

BIOLA (5-6-1, 3-2 PacWest) vs. Fresno Pacific (9-1-1, 4-1 PacWest): Saturday Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. \\ Live Stats\\ Live Video
The only blemish on the Sunbirds' conference record, and the result that the Eagles will point to as reason for confidence heading into their matchup at home, is Fresno Pacific's 3-1 loss to Concordia on Sept. 20. Save their 1-0 win over Holy Names, the Sunbirds have resorted to outscoring conference opponents to earn victories while they have allowed two goals or more in five matches against conference opponents. Fresno Pacific figures to focus all its attention and effort on its match with Azusa Pacific on Thursday, so the Eagles figure to benefit greatly from being able to analyze the Sunbirds' best efforts against the first-place Cougars and from possible tired legs as they counter Biola's formidable defense. This will be Fresno Pacific's first trip to Biola since 2011, when the Sunbirds beat Biola 3-1. The Eagles have a 23-30-5 record against Fresno Pacific and first matched up with FPU in 1963.

ABOUT LAST WEEK:
The Eagles' defense played four good halves of soccer last week and earned recognition for it with Luis Rodriguez' PacWest Defender of the Week honor. After Rodriguez made seven first-half saves against Hawaii Pacific last Thursday, the Eagles' backline allowed a total of three shots-on-goal over the next three halves (135 minutes) of play, including just one shot on frame during their match against Chaminade. Despite the fact that the one shot-on-goal resulted in a fortunate goal and win for the Silverswords, the Eagles need to carry their second-half attack from Saturday's match into their two fixtures this week since they came extremely close to an equalizer against Chaminade and likely would have found a goal if they were given a few extra minutes. Scoring first and taking the early lead would help, case and point being Jack Cybulski's goal in Thursday's win over HPU. The Eagles have scored first in all five of their wins this season.

HOME SWEET HOME:
The Eagles get to return to Al Barbour Field on Saturday after playing five of their first six PacWest matches in the road and are hoping a home field advantage will help them deal with the red hot Fresno Pacific Sunbirds. The Eagles won their only PacWest matchup at Al Barbour Field against Concordia and went 2-1-1 at home in non-conference play, giving the indication that Head Coach Todd Elkins' team will upholds its long-standing history of success at Al Barbour Field. Biola has not had a losing record at home since 2001 and rattled off five wins in a six-match stretch a home in 2017 to guarantee a .500 record.

CONFERENCE TICKER:
Biola has a chance to jump up with the upper half of the PacWest table with a win against the Vulcans on Tuesday, as the Eagles currently sit in fourth place with nine points. The Eagles trail Point Loma by three points for third place but have a match in hand on the Sea Lions and have at least a two-point advantage on everyone else. With Fresno Pacific and Azusa Pacific combining for a 9-1 record to begin the PacWest schedule, seven conference teams already have three losses and no one below third place has an active win streak of more than one match. APU and the Sunbirds are scheduled for a major clash this Thursday and there figures to be a ton of scoring since both teams have scored at least 11 goals across their last three contests.
