Emily Mosbacher took over as Biola Swimming & Diving’s fifth head coach in July of 2016.
She joined the Biola coaching staff after spending the previous three years as the head coach and program coordinator for the Peninsula Community Center Aquatics club.
Before that she spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach at Biola under former coach Eddie Shepard. She was already connected to the program because she spent 2007-11 on the team as a freestyle and butterfly swimmer who made the national team all four years. Mosbacher also served in the Department of Kinesiology, Health and Physical Education as a TA for the swim classes.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education from Biola in 2013 and is currently working on a master’s degree in teaching.
Mosbacher currently resides in Costa Mesa, Calif.
