Freshman outside hitter Joclyn Kirton had an impressive week, recording a total of 25 kills including 18 in one match to lead Biola to a pair of GSAC wins last week.
Kirton had a strong showing in the Eagles' sweep over Vanguard University, recording seven kills in nine swings for a .778 attack percentage. She also had a team-high three blocks in the match. On Saturday, she followed that up with her best performance of the season thus far, finishing with 18 kills, one block and six digs to lead the Eagles to a sweep at Hope International.
Kirton, a freshman from Everett, Wash., had not reached double-figures in kills yet this season before amassing 18 in Saturday's win at Hope. She also had a .438 attack percentage in the match to give her a .512 (25-4-41) mark for the week.
Kirton currently ranks fifth on the team with 76 kills (2.24 per set) and has nine blocks for the Eagles.
