LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Volley finished its regular season with a 23-9 record, which was good for second place in the Golden State Athletic Conference and a No. 21 national ranking. This earned the Eagles a chance to host a NAIA National Tournament Opening Round match for the first time in program history.

Head Coach Aaron Seltzer's squad finished its season this past Saturday with a 3-1 win against Vanguard. It ended the year with four victories in a row and completed its GSAC slate with a 13-3 GSAC record. The Eagles will play at home on Saturday for the first time since its Senior Night win over The Master's University back on Oct. 29. Biola will host unranked La Sierra on Saturday Nov. 19, 2016 in a 7:00 p.m. PT match at Chase Gymnasium on the Biola University campus. A match preview and breakdown of the two squads will be available later this week, while this release is simply to push out any pertinent information about the event for those planning to attend or follow along online.

WHAT'S AT STAKE: A spot at the NAIA National Tournament Final Site (Sioux City, Iowa). Biola Volleyball has made it to the NAIA Tournament Final Site each year since 2007. La Sierra clinched its spot in the Opening Round with an upset five-set win over Benedictine-Mesa on Saturday, Nov. 12. The Golden Eagles have never qualified for the NAIA National Tournament Final Site.
