Annie Park sure made a big impression. She earned NAIA All-American honorable mention status on Wednesday afternoon.

The junior guard was third in the nation in three-point shooting (.460) and also inside the top 50 players in the country in three-point field goals (63) and three-point field goals per game (2.17).

"Annie is a humble, talented and hard-working player," said Head Coach
Dr. Bethany Miller. "She puts in a tremendous amount of effort to improve her game and help the team, so it is great to see her success as shown by All-American honors she earned."

Park is one of 69 players to be honored by the NAIA with All-American status. The association released a first, second and third team, each including 10 players, and awarded 39 players with honorable mention listing.

Biola's guard was one of 10 players from the Golden State Athletic Conference to be honored. Concordia's Janis Peterson and Vanguard's Riley Holsinger each earned a spot on the first team.

Park's honor comes after she appeared in 29 of Biola's 31 games, starting 27 of them and averaging a team-high 30.1 minutes-per-game. She made the second-most field goals on the team (110) and had nearly double the amount of three-point field goal makes of any other player on the team (63). She also led the team in assists (100) and steals (35) while averaging a team-best 11.4 points-per-game.

"She is the type of athlete that makes all around her better because of her character, her love for the game and her team, and her tireless work ethic," said Miller. "We are looking forward to next season and all she can help the team accomplish."

Park returns for her senior season next year and will be joined by two other starting guards from this year, but the team will feature a brand new set of post players for her to feed the ball to inside.

This is Park's first national award.
