TEMECULA, Calif. --- Biola brings in a winner with Becca Branch, a two-time captain setter from Chaparral High School.
Â
Branch is a future nursing student who's complied a bundle of athletic achievements all while placing on the Principal's Honor Roll all four seasons of her high school career.
Â
"We are very excited to have Becca on board with us next year," said Assistant Coach
Abbie Wright. "Her personality and style of play are perfect fits for our program. We know that her competitiveness will bode well for us in her career at Biola. She's a great player and a great person."
Â
Branch spent four years on varsity at Chaparral, and earned all-league honors in three of those four seasons. She started each of her four seasons and was all-league, all-valley and all-area as a sophomore, junior and senior.
Â
She led the Pumas to a 65-42 overall record in her four years on the squad, winning 17 games in each of her final two seasons.
Â
Branch graduates Chaparral this spring and will begin coursework at Biola in the fall. She plans to major in nursing and eventually enter a career as a nurse.
Â
"I fell in love with the campus, the people and the volleyball team," said Branch. "I couldn't have found a better place for me to thrive."
