LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola senior goalkeeper
Aaron Fenlason has been named the Golden State Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Fenlason had another solid week in goal for the Eagles, recording nine saves and posted a 0.66 goals against average to help lead Biola to a 2-1 record in three non-conference matches this week.
The senior netminder posted his second shutout of the season, making 4 saves in the Eagles' 4-0 win over Whittier College. He followed that up with a 3-save performance in an overtime loss to Holy Names. Fenlason helped Biola rebound from the loss with a strong showing in a 3-1 win over Westminster UT.
So far this season, Fenlason is 4-1-0 and has a 0.60 GAA. He also earned the GSAC Defensive honor last week after going 2-0 and allowing just one goal in two matches. Fenlason has now earned the last three GSAC Player of the Week honors won by Biola men's soccer players.
Biola (4-1-0) returns to action on Thursday, traveling to Riverside to face La Sierra University in a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m.
