LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's Erica Moyer has been named the GSAC Softball Player of the Week for the week of April 6-12 as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Moyer, a sophomore from Hemet, had an outstanding day on Tuesday, April 7, to lead Biola to a key non-conference doubleheader sweep over No. 24 Cal State San Marcos. She went 5-for-8 in the two games, recording a double and adding a run scored and an RBI.

In the first game, Moyer collected her first hit of the day, recording a one-out single in the bottom of the seventh of a scoreless game. She then came around to score the winning run on a two-out single by Kacie Lyding.

In the second game, the sophomore recorded a 4-for-4 day, the first four-hit day by an Eagle player this year. Moyer had a double, three singles, an RBI, a run scored and stole a base in the game. She also came on and closed out the game by pitching a perfect final two innings as Biola swept the doubleheader to move back above .500 on the season. 

The Eagles return to action on Saturday (Apr. 18), hosting Azusa Pacific University in a GSAC doubleheader beginning at Noon.
