LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Southern California's latest round of wet weather has caused the postponement of four more Biola athletic events scheduled for Tuesday.
The softball doubleheader against Simpson University has been called off due to the rain. No make-up date has yet to be announced. The Eagles return to the field on Friday (Feb. 20) for a non-conference doubleheader against Holy Names University. The games will be part of the homecoming weekend celebration with first pitch slated for 1:30 p.m.
Tennis also became a casualty of the rain as the Eagles home openers against Fresno Pacific University were rained out. Biola and Fresno have not officially decided on a make-up date, though both the men's and women's tennis matches are likely to be made up this week.
Finally, the baseball team's scheduled non-conference game at Cal Poly Pomona was also rained out today. This is the second time this season the Eagles and Bronos have been rained out after last Monday's game in La Mirada was also called on account of rain. The two teams have decided on Wednesday (Feb. 18) for the make-up of Tuesday's contest with last Monday's game's make-up still up in the air.
