MALIBU, Calif. --- Biola freshman
Jacob Neller broke the school record in the 200 Butterfly as Biola swam at the Pepperdine University Invitational in Malibu, CA on Saturday.
The meet was an unscored meet which consisted of sprint events in the morning followed by the distance events in teh afternoon. Despite scores not being kept, several swimmers on both the men's and women's teamd achieved new NAIA national cuts.
The highlight of the day came in the afternoon as Neller took eighth overall with a time of 1:58.43. His time of 1:58.43 shattered the previous record set by Ricky Nerud back in 2007 (1:59.11).
The Eagles return to the pool on Saturday, October 31, in a non-scoring double dual with Azusa Pacific and La Verne. The meet will start at noon at Glendora High School.
