MONTEREY, Calif. --- California Baptist came from behind to win the team title while Holy Names University's Nikhil Dhawan shot an even-par 71 on the final day to take home individual honors at the Biola Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Monterey.

The Lancers overcame an eight-stroke deficit after the first day, firing a final round 295 to win by 15 strokes over The Master's College. Holy Names finished five strokes back of the Mustangs whild host Biola finished fourth with a two-day total of 626. CBU's "B" team was fifth with William Jessup finishing sixth.

Dhawan shot the low-score on the day, carding a 71 to win individual honors by two strokes with a two-over 144 for the tournament. Cal Baptist's Fernando Menedez and the CBU "B" team's Ivan Fuganti tied for second with a four-over 146. 

The Eagles continued their improvement in just their second season as a varsity program. Freshman John Graham again carded the low-score for Biola with a 76, giving him a two-day total of 151 which was ninth in the 30-player field. Junior Mike Belleggie, who was playing in his first collegiate tournament, fired a 77 and finished 11th overall at 153.

The tournament wraps up the fall season for Biola. The Eagles return to the course for the spring season in February with the schedule yet to be determined.
