LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola senior
David Mossman and freshman
Kathryn Ashford have been named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference men's and women's teams respectively as voted on by the conference coaches and announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Ashford, a freshman from Clovis, was impressive in her first season with the Eagles, being the first Biola women's tennis player to earn All-GSAC honors since 2005. Ashford also played No. 1 for the Eagles throughout the season. She was 10-11 on the season including going 6-4 in GSAC matches. Ashford posted an identical 10-11 record in doubles play.
Mossman, a senior from Baskersfield, capped a solid collegiate career by earning his first All-GSAC honor and just the second by a Biola men's player in the last four years. Mossman played the entire season at No. 1 for the Eagles, posting a record of 5-13, though three of those losses came in three sets against nationally-ranked players. At No. 1 doubles, Mossman was 6-13 on the season while teaming with
Isaiah Pekary in all but one match this season.
