LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola had a rough time against a top NCAA Division III program, falling 9-0 to Ohio Northern University in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles (1-8) had a good start to the match in doubles play, battling with the Polar Bears to start things off. Kathryn Ashford and Alisha Hansen battled hard at No. 1 doubles, but fell just  short, losing 8-6. 

In the singles competition, Ashford again fell just short at No. 1, falling 7-5 in the first set before losing 6-0 in the second.

Biola returns to action and to GSAC play on Saturday, hosting No. 5 Westmont College at 11:00 a.m. at the Biola Tennis Center.
