Heptathalon Record Falls Twice at FPU Invitational

FRESNO --- Sophomores Natasha Miller and Connie Andersen broke the Biola school record in the two-day Heptathlon competition on Thursday and Friday at the Fresno Pacific University Invitational.

Miller finished first overall with an NAIA-best point total of 5,090 points while Andersen took fourth with 3,615 points. Both marks beat the old school record of 3,434 points set back in 1998 by Lisa Ford.

It was the first heptathlon competition of the season for both athletes. The event features the 100 Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put and 200 in the first day and the Long Jump, Javelin, and 800 in the second day.

Andersen set PR's in both the Long Jump and High Jump while Miller PR'd in the High Jump and Javelin.
