SATURDAY RESULTS
AZUSA, Calif. --- Sophomore
Natasha Miller won the pentathlon, recording the best score in the NAIA this season as Biola's track and field squad participated in the Azusa Pacific Indoor Qualifier Meet in Azusa on Friday and Saturday.
Miller won the pentathlon competition at the APU Indoor Qualfier for the second straight season, but did so by recording the best score in the NAIA this season. Her point total of 3,621 was also a school record.

Lauren Ramirez and
Connie Andersen braved the wind, rain and the cold on Friday to finish the five-event competition which lasted well over four-and-one-half hours. The freshman Ramirez placed fifth overall with a total of 2,544 points while Andersen, a sophomore, took seventh with a total of 2,207 points.
On Saturday, the Eagles continued their strong showing, posting impressive results and qualifying four more athletes for the NAIA Indoor Championships in March.
Sophomore
Katie Thede picked up a pair of qualifying marks, placing second in the 3,000 with a time of 10:26.78 and taking third in the 1,000 in 3:02.16. Joining the distance contingent at nationals will be
Carissa Bowman, who recorded an impressive 17:59.03 and finishing second in the 5,000.
Janette Hill also earned a provisional qualifying time of 59.03 in the 400m run, taking third in the race.
Other impressive performances on Saturday included the 4x800 relay team of
Kyle McNulty,
Carter Williams,
David Ricksecker and
Rob Clarkson, which placed first in the event, but just missed a national-qualifying time.
Erin Hobson rounded out the impressive day with a second place finish in the pole vault on Saturday morning.
Biola returns to the track on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 20-21), returning to Azusa Pacific for its final tuneup before the NAIA Indoor Championships the first week of March.
