Reinecke Named to All-GSAC Women's Soccer Team

Kahlie Reinecke
LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola senior midfielder Kahlie Reinecke has been named to the 2009 All-Golden State Athletic Conference women's soccer team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

It was the second time in as many seasons Reinecke has earned all-conference honors. The senior from Murrieta, closed out her impressive four-year career at Biola with a goal and an assist this season, both coming in the final two matches of the season. Last week, Reinecke scored Biola's lone goal in a 1-1 tie against No. 6 Vanguard. On Saturday, she assisted on the Eagles' goal in another 1-1 draw at The Master's College.

"This is a well-deserved honor for Kahlie," said Head Coach Todd Elkins. "She is an all-around great athlete, combining her skills as a great passer and a great dribbler to be one of the best players out on the pitch on any given day. She has a quick first-step and can really jump well for a player who is only 5-2, but she has great timing and I think people underestimate her. She is a true gamer and a game-changer."

For her career, Reinecke scored nine goals and added four assists, appearing in 57 of Biola's 62 games and being among the top players in minutes played each season.

Biola wrapped up the season on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at The Master's College, finishing the 2009 campaign with a 6-6-3 overall record.
