NORTH ALAMEDA, Calif. --- The Biola men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of the 2009-10 schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Holy Names Invitational on Monday and Tuesday held at the Chuck Corica Golf Club.

Biola fired a three-round total of 905 on the par-71 course, shooting 310 in the first round, then following up with a respectable 297 in the final two rounds. Holy Names won the event with a two-under-par 850 while The Master's College's Andrew Bergoon carded a five-under-par 208 to take top individual honors.

John Graham led the Eagles with a 13-over 226, finishing 23rd overall in the field. After an opening-round 77, Graham came right back with a 74 in the second and wrapped things up with a 75 on Tuesday.

Joshua Mathis tied for 26th overall with a 15-over 228, firing back-to-back 74s after an opening-round 80. Rounding out the group was Sam Howell (T-29th, 230), Jordan Swanson (31st, 231) and Mike Belliggie (32nd, 232).

"It was an overall good team effort," said Head Coach John Lane. "Since nearly everyone on our team is either a freshman or sophomore, this fall portion of the season helps them get acclimated to college golf. We hope to build on our solid fall performance and carry that momentum over into the spring."

The spring schedule will begin in February and will be announced in December.
