LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola University goalkeeper Lauren Gregston has been named the Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA Region II Defensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2.

Gregston, a freshman from Lake Forest's El Toro High School, made four saves and faced seven shots earning her first collegiate shutout in the Eagles' 1-0 win over Oregon Tech on Saturday.

Gregston made a pair of spectacular saves in the first half including a sliding save after an Oregon Tech attacker broke away from the defense for a one-on-one scoring chance.

Biola returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 4), traveling to face NCAA Division II powerhouse Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
